Oh, how we gotta love societal conditioning! In December we need to party like rockstars... you know, eat drink and be way too merry. Then in January, we need to repent for our sins with our over the top resolutions and extreme 10 day juice cleanses. As you read this, every grocery store in America is building their wall of quick detox packets in the front of the supermarket.
One day, I may go postal and just knock it all down with one swipe... point to the poor soul next to me and then run like the wind.
I'm all for periodic detoxing, but the truth is that what we really want is permanent change.
We start a new diet, workout program, or cleanse with the hope that this time will be the time it sticks. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it won't happen without diving deeper into the inner workings of the mind.
REAL CHANGE is only available to us through shifting our psychology: re-wiring the brain and creating new standards for our day to day lives.
That being said, I know you may have boozed it up a little too much this holiday season. Along with permanent change, you may also feel the need to do a little organ cleansin'.
If you are going to cleanse, I want to make sure you are meeting your body where it is and are doing it the safest way.
So, let's talk detox!
If you want to get healthy and stay healthy, then sign up for some coaching and start the amazing healing process of improving your relationship with food and to yourself.
If you want a safe, high quality cleanse that will target every organ in your body (not just the liver), then checkout a detox like Designs for Health Detoxification Support Packets. I recommend doing this once a year along with a food cleanse to get down deep into those cells.
Along with this cleanse, I can provide you sample menus and eating guidelines (email me for the goods).
I trust this cleanse and know it is a safe and deep way to support your body's natural detoxification process. It can be a two-week or one-month cleanse, depending on your desired level of intensity.
*A lot of couples split one box between them, each doing a two week cleanse.

Weekly Meal Prep
Sushi Bowls - You have a lot of artistic freedom here. I added kimchi (which you typically don’t see with sushi) and a piece of cooked fish because I’m lame, I mean pregnant. You can sub cauliflower rice for brown rice and I know that Whole foods has prepackaged sushi grade fish, wasabi and pickled ginger.
Spaghetti Squash with Puttanesca Sauce and Fresh Basil with a Side Salad - This is a twist on your regular ol’ tomato sauce. All you do is add olives and capers! I wanted to sneak in another veggie so I added a chopped eggplant. You can make a serving of gluten free pasta and mix it in with the squash so you feel like you are eating real pasta.
Grilled Chicken Thighs, Roasted Potatoes, Sautéed Broccoli, Grilled Romaine - This is one of those easy meals on the grill that tastes delicious. My tricks: I boiled the potatoes first and then tossed them in coconut oil and threw them under the oven broiler to get them crispy. If you have an extra 5 minutes, make this vegan caesar salad dressing from scratch for the romaine. I added a squirt of anchovy paste to the dressing.
Crock Pot Brisket, Roasted Delicata Squash and Brussels Sprouts- Another easy meal for a busy week. I roast all the veggies in melted ghee at 375 degrees with a bunch of salt, pepper and garlic spices.
