Quick, easy, and high fructose corn syrup-free!

1 1/2 cups tomato paste
1/2 cup date paste*
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder

Combine all ingredients in blender, adding a small amount of water if needed. Add more date paste if not sweet enough. Adjust seasonings to taste. *To make date paste, soak 1 cup pitted dates in enough water to cover for 2-4 hours. Add dates along with 1/2 cup of the soaking water to a food processor or blender and process until smooth. Use more soaking water if a thinner paste is desired. Refrigerate any left over date past for future use.
